We provide the Medication Use Review Scheme which is designed to help our patients get the best from their medication.
To be able to perform these reviews, our pharmacists have had to undertake additional training and have been awarded a Practice Certificate by the University of Kent in Greenwich.
A review involves sitting down with our pharmacist to discuss your medicines in detail. The pharmacist may well take your blood pressure and, with your permission, measure your blood glucose level.
The review is an ideal opportunity to ask questions about your medicines and to bring up any issues you may have. The pharmacist may suggest changing the time a medicine is taken (for example, some medicines are best taken at night and others in the morning), or it may be that a different medicine may be more suitable for you.
We are currently looking to perform MURs on patients who are asthmatic, diabetic, have osteoporosis, or who take more than 2 medicines on a regular basis.
If you would like to book a Medicines Use Review, please contact the pharmacist to arrange an appointment.
